A pedestrian died after being hit by a Ford Transit last night.
The accident happened on the A264 at Holtye, near East Grinstead, 370 metres from Cansiron Lane.
The identity of the man, in his 50s, has not yet been released. The 38-year-old van driver, from Kent, suffered shock.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
