Detectives hope drivers using the A29 in West Sussex may have information that could catch burglars who fled with £9,000 of property.
Items of jewellery, a laptop computer and video camera were taken in a break-in, causing £200 damage, at Bury, near Arundel.
Police believe drivers could be important witnesses.
A police spokesman said: "We want to hear from drivers using the A29 at Bury on that day who may have noticed anything suspicious as they passed through the village."
