Worn out Sussex boss John Suter cannot wait for the end of the season.

But Suter is hoping to end the campaign in style by guiding his side to the South West Counties Championship.

Sussex face the Army at Aldershot tomorrow (2.30pm) and Suter admits commitments with his club side, Horsham YMCA, means he has had little time to think about the county game.

He said: "We had a league game last night and I had 23 players unavailable, it's a farcical situation - it's almost like I have one pool of players to pick from for the first team and the reserves. One of the players has played eight games in 12 days and the club have had 13 in the last 16 days.

"I'll be happy when the season is over and I can get up in the morning and not have to worry about how I'm going to get a team out for that night."

Before then Suter hopes to end his second season in charge of the county with victory over an Army side who were comfortable winners of their qualifying group.

"It's going to be very tough. I imagine they will be well organised and very fit. But for a lot of our guys it's their last game and I hope we can go out with a bang, the players are certainly looking forward to it."

Suter will be without Chichester striker Jamie Laidlaw, who scored four goals on his debut earlier in the season, and injured Bognor wideman Gareth Green. He may call replacements in today with YM's Nick Flint a possible option up front.

Suter has agreed to stay in charge for a third season next year and Carl Stabler is carrying on as his assistant.
