East Preston boss Vic Short has promised that his side will go for broke in tomorrow's promotion decider against East Grinstead.

EP need only a point at East Court to secure an immediate return to the first division in Short's first year in charge.

Grinstead, who have been out of the top flight for seven seasons, need to win but Bob Smith's men do have home advantage.

Short said: "We have drawn more games than quite a few teams in this division but I don't know why. We try to play attacking football and we won't be changing that tomorrow.

"It's a nice game to be involved in regardless of what's at stake. I'm just happy that we have kept our season going this far."

The decider was set up in midweek when EP defeated Oving 3-0 and Grinstead beat Lancing 3-1.

The Wasps are unbeaten in the league since December 15 and have won seven of their last nine games while EP's win on Tuesday means Eastbourne Town were knocked out of contention for the third promotion place.

Grinstead manager Bob Smith said: "You couldn't have written a better script and all I hope is that our players do ourselves justice on the day.

"Both teams deserve credit for keeping their form going when the pressure has been on to overtake Eastbourne Town.

"Home advantage is obviously a benefit, we're hoping a good crowd comes down to get behind us."

EP's only injury worry is striker Dave Walker while Grinstead have been given a boost by the return of midfielder Steve Greig.
