This will be the band's first live gig since last summer. It is a benefit concert for the Miscarriages Of Justice Organisation, which fights for the cases of wrongfully-convicted men and women.

The Levellers formed in the Eighties, achieving platinum sales with the album Levelling The Land and Number One with the album Zeitgeist.

RICKY ROSS, Martlets Hall, Civic Way, Burgess Hill, April 29
Not content with reforming Deacon Blue last year, Ross has now embarked on a solo tour.

As frontman of Deacon Blue, Ross hit the Top Ten with the single Real Gone Kid and then the Number One spot with the album When The World Knows Your Name.

Expect to hear new versions of some classic Deacon Blue tracks as well as numbers from Ross's solo album.

RUSSELL WATSON, Brighton Centre, Kings Road, Brighton, April 27
The British tenor became a professional opera singer in 1996, aged just 23. Now he has topped the classical music charts with his hugely successful debut album The Voice.

Former Steps star Faye Tozer will also be making a guest appearance as the twosome are to release their single Someone Like You next month.

NICK HARPER, Komedia, Gardner Street, Brighton, April 30 and May 1
The highly accomplished guitarist is playing two shows this time round, as his previous gigs at the venue have always sold out.

Harper's distinctive, soulful voice, intense lyrics and rootsy/folk sounds earn him the title of virtuoso. He guarantees an emotionally-charged evening complete with gentle humour and a great rapport with his audience.
