Value retailer bonmarche today said its expansion plans were on track after posting a surge in full-year profits.
The family-controlled firm, which targets older women and has a branch in Brighton, aims to open 30 stores this year as part of a long-term plan to have 500 branches in the UK and Ireland.
Bonmarche opened 31 stores last year - including shops in Brighton, Sheffield, Newcastle, Birmingham and Southampton - bringing its total estate up to 240.
Chief executive Steve Bullas said: "With our strong financial base, we are very well placed to continue our programme to roll-out the successful bonmarche format."
