Bognor gave their fans something to cheer about in the final division one home game of the season when they beat fellow high flyers Northwood 3-1 at Nyewood Lane.

With both sides just outside the promotion places, Rocks cemented a fourth-place finish.

Manager Jack Pearce said: "It's very pleasing to get the result for our fans in the last home game. We had been threatening a performance like that for some time, but just not getting the goals."

Charlie Balfe hit a post for Bognor before visting goalkeeper Andy Felton denied Matt Russell and Nicky Wyatt.

Bognor took the lead in the 55th minute when a Guy Rutherford cross was fired home by Wyatt.

Wyatt doubled the lead four minutes later when he rounded Felton after a ball from Richard Hudson.

Russell made it 3-0 on 61 minutes before pulling another effort wide.

The visitors scored a consolation goal in the 77th minute when a break down the left saw Ryan Ashe cross for the unmarked Lawrence Yaku to steer the ball home.

Wyatt was denied his hat-trick when Felton blocked his close range effort late on.

An early goal from Mark Knee proved enough to give Worthing their third win in the last four games at Windsor and Eton.

Knee, successfully switched from left back to striker seven weeks ago, headed his 11th goal unchallenged at the far post from a corner on the right by Ben Carrington.

Wasteful Worthing should have had a hatful against their bottom-of the-table opponents and poor finishing by the recalled Gavin Geddes let him down on a number of occasions.
