What a vision to save our city seafront near Brighton's West Pier - public piazzas, tables and chairs linked to cafes and bars (The Argus, April 17).
Sadly, there is still little reference to the West Pier ferry jetty restoration.
With the West Pier restored, a ferry jetty attracting modern fast-ferry services going between coastal ports and resorts quicker than road and rail journey times could enhance the pier's income considerably.
If cruise liners were encouraged to anchor offshore and disembark thousands of sightseers through a newly restored jetty, it would give the city back its seaward gateway to the world.
