Hastings Town skipper Tony Burt is prepared to play through the pain for the Dr Martens eastern division title at Wisbech tomorrow.
Town are four points clear at the top and a point will seal promotion and all three the championship.
Burt needed five stitches above his eyebrow on Saturday after cutting himself during last week's win over Chatham.
He missed Tuesday's game at Dartford and Town slumped to their first defeat in 14 matches.
Burt said: "The sensible thing was not playing as other lads were fit but I am up for the game against Wisbech.
" We haven't come this far to falter at the final hurdle. The team know we have to hold it together for a couple more games and keep motivated."
Stuart Playford and Paul Ruddy are both struggling to be fit for the game.
St Leonards manager Glyn White has called for one last effort from his squad to ensure their eastern division status.
Saints entertain Fisher Athletic tomorrow and White knows a win will keep his side up.
He hopes to have a strong squad at his disposal with Terry White and Richard Callaway both back after missing last week's defeat at Bashley.
