Former Lewes manager Andy Sinden has died following a long battle with motor neurone disease.
Sinden, 38, played for several Sussex clubs before taking over as manager at the Dripping Pan, where he finished his playing days.
He was also a good cricketer, playing for Hastings Priory, Herstmonceux and Ashburnham.
Sinden was diagnosed with the illness almost five years ago but carried on as Lewes manager until the end of the 1997-98 season.
His funeral will take place at Hastings Crematorium next Wednesday. Andy's last request was to have his ashes scattered at the Dripping Pan.
He leaves wife Karen and two daughters, Abbie and Bethan.
Danny Davis (flu) is doubtful for Lewes's home game with Barton Rovers but Marc Cable returns. Julian Curnow is out for the rest of the season.
