Adam Chodzko, one of Britain's leading artists, will be exhibiting an ambitious new video installation at Fabrica.
The exhibition investigates his fascination with the processes and effects of our imaginations and our systems of belief.
The installation uses a program which randomly compiles sequences of previously unrelated images, sounds and text.
It is hoped that, eventually, the right sequence will create a "magic spell" - when the combined elements are perceived to make sense.
For example: Images of stock cars colliding to the sub-sonic sound of wind turbines.
Fabrica is open Wednesday to Saturday, 11.30pm to 5pm and Sunday, 2pm to 5pm. Call 01273 778646.
