Why must Tory Councillor Brian Oxley keep running off to the Local Government Ombudsman when he doesn't get his own way?

This time (The Argus, April 12), he is pursuing a homeless hostel - but what harm has the hostel done to him?

Brighton and Hove has a major housing crisis and Coun Oxley would do better to constructively help to deal with the problem than keep telling tales to teacher.

What I would like to know is how much does Coun Oxley's bleating cost the taxpayer in wasted time?

Like many others, I find this kind of rather unpleasant party politics extremely unattractive.
