A Littlehampton father is offering a £1000 reward to catch his son's attackers.
He hopes the money will encourage information leading to the conviction of the three youths who attacked his 22-year-old son as he walked home alone along Southfields Road, Littlehampton. The victim was beaten with a walking stick and punched to the ground. He was kicked repeatedly in the face and needed hospital treatment.
He was set upon by the youths after they asked for the time. They then demanded he hand over his phone and money.
After the unprovoked attack, the youths fled West towards the General Henry Public House.
The attackers were all black, aged 18 to 25 and were wearing dark clothes.
Two of the men were 5ft 10in to 5ft 11in and a third was taller and was wearing shoes with a thick tread. The weapon was made of light coloured wood.
Anyone with information about the incident on April 4 at 3.05am, should call DC Rob Rollins on 0845 6070999 ext 81503 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
