The trial of millionaire property tycoon Nicholas Hoogstraten was delayed today while a new jury was sworn in.
Van Hoogstraten, 57, denies murdering retired Brighton landlord Mohammed Sabir Raja, on July 2, 1999.
Mr Raja was shot on the doorstep of his Surrey home.
Two other men, Robert Knapp, and David Croke, are also charged with murder.
Van Hoogstraten, of Framfield, is also charged with conspiring with Croke, 59, of Bolney Road, Moulsecoomb, Brighton, and Knapp, 53, of Convent Street, Abbeyfeale, County Limerick, and others to murder Mr Raja between January 1 and July 3, 1999.
Van Hoogstraten, dressed in a grey suit, listened intently while the judge, the Honourable Mr Justice Newman, outlined the reasons for the delay.
David Waters, QC, was due to outline the case for the prosecution later today.
