Stefan Andersson gave Eastbourne Eagles' opponents another Swede bashing at Arlington Stadium on Saturday night.

Andersson, who returned to the club this season after three years' exile, scorched to his second paid maximum in three home matches.

This time it was King's Lynn who had no answer to the flying Swedish star as Eagles completed their second double of the season with a 58-32 victory.

Andersson was the quickest man around the circuit and had the draw all evening on King's Lynn's Grand Prix men Nicki Pedersen and Sebastian Ulamek.

The Eagles' ace has now averaged nearly 13 points per meeting round the Sussex track this year.

And after Eastbourne had notched their fifth win in six matches, Eagles' boss Jon Cook said: "We showed tonight there is plenty more in the tank."

Skipper Joe Screen dropped his only point to Ulamek in the best race of the night in heat 13.

Screen stormed past Ped-ersen in a thriller but couldn't catch the Polish ace, while Mark Loram was set to pounce on Pedersen on the line when his bike shuddered to a near-standstill.

Screen, in tow behind And-ersson, got his revenge over Ulamek in the final heat after Pedersen had crashed into the fence.

King's Lynn were never going to seriously test the Sussex outfit's championship credentials.

But Cook was delighted with the way his side bounced back from the previous week's de-feat by Coventry.

"Winning at Oxford on Friday was a great result for us, and Stefan has been brilliant.

"Apart from one bad race there, he would have gone through the weekend without being beaten."

King's Lynn's cause wasn't helped by an early injury to Freddie Eriksson.

He was ruled out of the meeting with a torn shoulder after he clipped Andersson's back wheel and fell heavily in heat five.

Tom Madsen had two eng-ines seize on him, while a couple of second places behind Andersson and Screen were the best the normally ultra-competitive Pedersen could manage.

Ulamek apart, the visitors' best efforts came from Emil Kramer, who was their only other race winner in heat two, and Isle of Wight youngster Adam Shields, who was gues-ting for the injured Travis McGowan.

Shields caused a surprise when he split Andersson and Dean Barker first time out, wasn't far behind Screen next time and again chased home Andersson later.

And he was unlucky not to add to his tally when he was the victim of a poor decision by referee Chris Gay, who ruled he was the cause of a heat 12 crash involving Toni Svab.

An extra bonus for Eagles, who go to Ipswich in the Knockout Cup on Thursday with the return at Eastbourne next Saturday, was a paid double-figure return for David Norris.

Eastbourne: Stefan Anders-son 14, Joe Screen 13, David Norris 9, Mark Loram 8, Dean Barker 7, Toni Svab 4, Savalas Clouting 3. Bonus points: And-ersson 1, Screen 1, Norris 1, Loram 1, Svab 1.

King's Lynn: Sebastian Ula-mek 10, Emil Kramer 6, Adam Shields 6, Nicki Pedersen 5, Tom Madsen 2, Artur Pietrzyk 2, Freddie Eriksson 1. Bonus points: Ulamek 1, Madsen 1, Pietrzyk 1.
