I do not know what C Cox, who complained about "Robin Hood" taxis (Letters, March 1), does for a living but I wonder if it costs him between £200 and £300 a week for tools, because that is what it costs a cabbie before any profit is taken.
The last cab Mr Cox used before the start fare was less than £2.20 was more than 15 months ago so I won't book my next holiday on the proceeds I make from this person.
Try to get a bus on Christmas or Boxing Day or in the early hours of the morning, when it is snowing or raining hard. I wonder if the principles would still apply.
