Worthing salvaged only their second point in the last nine division one games by scoring twice in the last ten minutes to force a 2-2 draw at home to bottom club Barking.

An 80th-minute header by Gavin Jones and a stoppage time strike from Wesley Lopez spared Rebels blushes against a side who have conceded 101 goals.

Barking's Jay Murray put his side ahead early on, but was sent off for two bookable offences midway through the second half before Steve Shaw deservedly made it 2-0 on 69 minutes.

Striker Jones gave Rebels hope by heading in a Gavin Geddes pass and midfielder Lopez got his side out of jail by running in from the left and scoring with a 20-yard shot from an acute angle.

There was an unseemly end to the match with goal scorer Shaw being held back by goalkeeper Sam Whitby after going into the crowd to confront Barking supporters and referee Justin Comley will report the incident.

Rebels, who took their first home point under Barry Lloyd with Matthew May deputising for suspended goalkeeper James Wastell while midfielder Danny Stevens made his debut, went behind when Murray struck on 17 minutes by converting a free-kick from Michael Black.

Jones missed a good chance to equalise by heading a Gavin Geddes cross just wide before Black and Murray threatened for Barking either side of the interval.

Murray collected his two bookings in the space of five minutes, the first for a foul on Ben Carrington and then for bringing down Chris Hibberd.

Bognor failed to complete a hat-trick of victories over Thame United this season when they conceded an injury-time penalty in a 1-1 away draw.

It left manager Jack Pearce frustrated.

He said: "I was disappointed with our defending in the first half, so we talked about it during the break and I felt we had got it right in the second half until the penalty."

Rocks, who have beaten their opponents in the league and the FA Trophy, started the better of the two sides, and Andy Williams shot over the crossbar.

They took the lead in the 35th minute when Michael Birmingham found John Pomroy and drove home his return ball from the edge of the box.

Matt Russell and Nicky Wyatt twice went close as did Jay Pickering.

With Bognor seemingly on their way to all three points, a long ball over the top was misjudged by Pickering, and, although David Wright stole the ball off Jefferson Louis, he lost control and brought down Chris Potter.

Nando Perna gave goalkeeper Craig Stoner no hope as he sent him the wrong way with the penalty.
