I would prefer to see Brighton and Hove City Council not waste hundreds of thousands of pounds in its pursuit of European Capital of Culture glory but spend some of that money on cleaning our streets.
I am totally ashamed and embarrassed to walk through the streets of Brighton and Hove with visiting friends and relations.
I'd like a city to be proud of - not through poncing around chasing European culture capital status but by having a cleaner place to show our visitors around.
