A motorist has appeared in court charged in connection with the death of a pedestrian.
Michael Uren, 24, of Pages Close, Heathfield, is accused of causing death by careless driving while over the legal alcohol limit.
He is also charged with failing to stop after an accident.
Pedestrian Kenneth Shepperd, 69, of De Montfort Road, Brighton, died after a collision with a car in Elm Grove, Brighton, on February 9.
Uren, a business studies student at Sussex University, was bailed by Brighton magistrates until March 13 on condition he does not drive.
