Des was responsible for members on both sides of the House at Question Time, including the Prime Minister, to be in hysterics after Mr Speaker told him to sit down for waffling on without asking his question. He never did get to ask his question but Mr Speaker nonetheless ordered Tony Blair to answer it. The House roared.
