A pair of crooks ordered an Eastbourne man to kneel on the ground, then punched him and robbed him.
The victim was walking along Seaside in Eastbourne when the man and a woman confronted him.
They made off with just £8.
The male offender was described as of mixed race, 5ft 5in tall and wore a dark woollen hat.
The woman was also of mixed race, 5ft 3in tall, and had bleached blonde, curly hair.
The 41-year-old victim was taken into police custody for his own protection.
