I would like to say a heart-felt thank you to the gallant gentlemen who jumped out of their vehicle to rescue a group of pensioners last Saturday.

We were on our way to see Holiday On Ice after eating our fish and chip lunch in a cafe on Brighton seafront. The wind was so strong, we decided to go up the road, then cross into the road leading to the back of the theatre. Six of us linked arms and proceeded up the road but the wind was too strong for us and we couldn't get across.

These young men took us across the road in ones and twos and delivered us safely on the other side. I shall be eternally grateful to them. They saved us from injury or maybe worse.
