Worthing admit they fear another promotion near miss after dropping more home points on Saturday.
The London Three South East leaders were held to a 10-10 draw by Charlton Park in atrocious conditions and now have just a one point advantage.
Worthing have a perfect record away from home but have already lost to Tonbridge Juddian and Sidcup at Roundstone Lane to put their hopes of a long-awaited promotion under threat.
Coach Ian Davies admitted: "The match showed up what I have been fearing for quite a long time. We are not quite as good as we think we are.
"We came up against a stubborn side and we could not break them down."
Worthing fielded a depleted side and saw Ben Coulson miss a series of kicks at goal but Davies refused to make excuses. He said: "You can't blame Ben for missing kicks. The conditions were awful.
"Tonbridge and Sidcup had good wins and seem to be hitting form. We go to Tonbridge next week but I think we are out of the driving seat now."
Danny Piggott's try, converted by Coulson, was cancelled out as Worthing changed ends level at 7-7.
Coulson fired over a penalty on 75 minutes but Park replied in kind just before the end.
