Although I am well aware there is much criticism of the NHS, mainly due to the length of waiting lists, I feel I must write to redress the balance with regard to acute services in the NHS.
My mother was recently in the digestive diseases unit of the Royal Sussex County Hospital and the care and compassion she received from Sister Kingsbury and her nursing staff was superb.
All the money in the world could not have delivered better care.
It is a scandal the recent pay offer does not reflect the vitally important role nurses play in our society.
