As a resident of Lewes District, I wish to express my support for a stadium at Village Way, Falmer.
This stadium would provide benefits for the whole of the local community.
Its location would make it easily accessible by public transport and provide an important link between the communities of Brighton and Hove and East Sussex as a whole.
This would also be an important signal to the residents of Lewes District that the council was looking after the interests of the majority and not a small elite.
In an era when community needs are often sacrificed due to "economic" or "practical" considerations, it would be a welcome gesture to see all parties come together to put Brighton in particular and Sussex in general on the map.
