Samantha Webb completed a hat-trick of triumphs when she won the girls' under-17s race at the third Sussex Cross Country League match at Lancing.

The Crawley Club runner is the only unbeaten athlete in the league this season. She won in 20min.04sec over the two-and-a-half-mile course and was almost two minutes clear.

But her time was three minutes slower than her runs at Goodwood and Crawley in the opening fixtures.

The boys' under-13s two-mile and under-15s three-mile events produced different winners for the third time.

Newcomer Alex Ambridge (Hastings), fourth at Goodwood and third at Crawley, notched an eight-second victory over Mark Burchett (Worthing), the Sussex under-13s 600m champion.

Chris West (Chichester) was third while Ashley Witcomb (Brighton and Hove), whose father Peter is the Sussex over-50s champion, was fourth.

Darren Tremble (Crawley) finished fifth.

In the boys' under-15s race, Todd Leckie (Hailsham) gained revenge over Tom Bilham (Chichester).

He was second to Bilham at Crawley but reversed the positions at Lancing.

Danielle Christmas (Crawley) won the girls' under-15 event. It was her second victory, having triumphed at Crawley.

Cheryl Heath (Hastings), who won at Goodwood, was second with Hannah Brooks (Crawley) third.

Dominique Daly (Crawley) chalked up her second victory of the season at under-13s, from clubmate Emily Goodall.

Harriett Addison (Horsham), who was first at Goodwood, finished third.

Craig Ivemy (Hailsham) also scored his second victory of the season in the boys' under-17s event.

Lee Emanuel (Hastings), who beat Ivemy at Goodwood, finished runner-up.

Mark Barham (Hastings), the former Sussex Schools' under-15s champion, was third for the third time.
