The Sunday Times business supplement last week donated a full page to a glowing tribute to entrepreneur Bill Archer.
It said he had to mortgage the family home in order, with colleague Gregory Stanley, to buy a DIY chain in which his stake is now worth at least £300 million.
Could Mr Archer possibly be the same gentleman who was connected with the Albion a few years ago?
If so, does anyone know the address to which one should send a Christmas card? I feel sure, if he is indeed a football fan,
he would wish to know the Albion are seeking diligently for a new home. He might wish to donate, say, the odd £25 million or so as a gesture of Wenceslas-like goodwill.
