A plane spotter accused of spying may have to wait several more days before learning if he is to be released.

Christopher Wilson, 46, a BT technical officer from Horsham, is one of a group of 12 held in a Greek prison for the last month.

Prosecutors have submitted a report on the group to a panel of three judges who were expected to reach a decision early this week.

However, the decision is now thought to be unlikely before the middle of the week.

The group denies violating bans on taking photographs at military airbases.

The plane spotters have complained about conditions in their cells and have told of being strip-searched.

A Foreign Office spokesman said officials were continuing to press the Greek government to resolve the situation.

He said Prime Minister Tony Blair and Foreign Secretary Jack Straw had both spoken to their opposite numbers in Greece.
