There were emotional scenes at the funeral in Hastings of former professional boxer Jimmy Millen.
The pallbearers wept as the coffin was carried into the church from a horsedrawn carriage with boxing gloves hanging from the side.
Mr Millen was only 27 when he was shot in the back by riders on a passing motor bike as he was working on his car in October. He left a widow and three young children.
Now all attention in this case must be turned to finding those responsible for gunning down Mr Millen.
Someone must have clues that could lead police towards the arrest and conviction of those who carried out what amounted to an execution.
This was a wicked and cowardly crime. For the sake of Mr Millen's distraught family, the killers must be found.
