A fish and chip shop is donating every penny it makes in a day to a fund set up to help the families of fishermen killed or injured at sea.
The Trident Fish Restaurant in Green Street, Old Town, Eastbourne, will be one of scores of chippies raising cash on National Sea Fish Day tomorrow.
Most of the shops will be donating a percentage of their earnings.
But Trident owner Demetrios Photiou has decided to hand over everything his shop makes on the day.
Proceeds will be given to the Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen.
The fund was set up to help the victims and families of fishermen injured or killed at sea.
Mr Photiou said: "I decided to donate everything we take that day as I was shocked at the numbers of people injured or killed just for our fish.
"We're normally very busy on Fridays so we are expecting it to be even more busy this week and we hope to raise more than £2,000.
"It will give people the opportunity to help a fantastic cause as well as have something to eat."
