Three Sussex players have made it to the last 64 in the English Schools under-18s trials.

Brighton, Hove and Sussex Sixth Form College boys Rob Neal, a former Albion centre of excellence full-back, and centre-back Anthony Hibbert with Eric Barrett, a goalkeeper from Holy Trinity, Crawley, have made the South East squad to face the South West at Newbury on November 24.

Former Sussex Schools under-16s striker Alex Harrison, now based at the West Suffolk College, was also chosen from trials at Walthamstow in east London.

BHASVIC's Lee Newman is on stand-by.

Sixteen will go through to the final trials at Lilleshall along with the same number from a North versus the Midlands get-together.

Albion centre of excellence goalkeeper Richard Martin and full-back Sam Rents have been invited to a second England under-15s development squad session at Lilleshall in February.

Martin Hinshelwood, the club's director of youth, said: "They impressed at the first one and they both enjoyed it. The squad is to see who will play for their country at under-16s."
