Brighton-based Midnight Communications has won a five-figure account to promote an event for Penton Technology Media (PTM).

PTM will be holding two simultaneous events aimed at the broadband internet industry at London's Earls Court.

Lightspeed Europe 2001 will include an exhibition and conference covering products relating to optical-fibre delivery of broadband internet in the UK.

The Last Mile Europe 2001 event will cover more general aspects of broadband with delegates having the opportunity to quiz broadband providers about the delays and future plans for access.

Midnight director Helen Yeardsley said: "Optical networking may well be the solution the telecoms industry has been searching for when faced with meeting the growing demand for high-speed, quality networks and broadband applications.

"Midnight has vast experience in organising similar, high-level industry events and conferences and the team is looking forward to ensuring that Lightspeed Europe 2001 and Last Mile Europe 2001 become widely regarded as must-attend events for the industry."

The events will be held between December 4 to 6.
