Over the years, there has been a steady decline in the songbird population of Britain.

The only birds that are on the increase are the birds of prey, such as sparrowhawks and peregrines.

What do they eat? Other birds.

They have decimated the birds in the countryside and are now moving into town gardens.

Not until all the birds in the gardens have been eaten will their numbers decline.
