Lewes' unbeaten record in Ryman League divison two was ended at Arlesey Town as they conceded a goal one minute from full time.

The game seem to be heading for a fair but disappointing goalless draw when a left wing cross from Neil Trebble was headed home at the far post by Barry Dellar in the 89th minute.

There were few chances in the first half for either side.

The best went to Arlesey when Mark Bryant fired over the crossbar in the 13th minute, while Paul Stokes went close for Lewes with a 25-yard free kick on 38 minutes.

Rooks started the better in the second period and after 50 minutes a cross from Chris Dicker was met by Dominic Shepherd, but his shot across the face of the goal went just wide.

Arlesey goalkeeper Martyn Patching was then forced to make two good saves, the first a low drive from Stokes after 61 minutes and four minutes later Ross Venables almost scored on his debut.
