It is surely time horns were taken out of motor cars. I cannot see for the life of me what useful purpose they serve.

They are simply a cause of aggravation.

They are used mainly to abuse other road users and are often the trigger in road-rage incidents.

The motorist has brakes and control of his accelerator, which, used sensibly, removes any need for a horn.

In most cases of collision, there is no time for horn-blowing anyway and - who knows? - taxi drivers may even come and knock on the door.
