David Allen is wrong about Parking attendants ("Robot wars", Letters, Argus 11).
Commission will not be paid. If this was so, I would be the first person in line for a job. Taking into account the cheeky people who think they have a licence to park anywhere, stricter measures are definitely required.
The "rude general public" far outnumbers rude parking attendants (formerly traffic wardens). I would want danger money added to my non-existent commission if I were doing the job. Parking attendants do have a job to do, so just don't park illegally.
I wish them all peaceful working days and hope the general public respects the job they are paid to do is for the benefit of all.
