It was Absolutely Fabulous for an ex-servicemen's charity when actress June Whitfield dropped in at its open day.
June, who starred in the hit comedy - also known as Ab Fab - opened the annual fund-raising day at Gifford House, The Queen Alexandra Home for disabled ex-servicemen in Boundary Road, Worthing, on Saturday.
The event raised £6,500 for the home, which is a registered charity and also offers holiday respite for ex-forces personnel.
Bandsmen from the Welsh Guards attended the event, which also had stalls and a tombola.
Jayne Peachey, company secretary at Gifford House, said: "The weather held for us and June Whitfield was absolutely wonderful."
