Proposals to treat an extra 4,000 patients by the overworked and understaffed Worthing Hospital sound a brilliant idea. Patients will wait longer than ever to see consultants and have operations, and will have to travel many miles extra to come to Worthing. Why not spend the #20 million on improving Southlands Hospital, saving people from longer journeys?
