A gang of thieves made off with a garden shed but left behind its contents.
The gang members were not interested in the lawnmower, bed frame and kitchen sink stored inside.
They carefully packed them in an old car standing in the driveway to protect them from the rain.
Landlady Rabina Zeb, who lets out her former home in East Park, Southgate, to five tenants, said: "It's unbelievable."
Her husband, Aurang, discovered the hut had vanished when he visited the house on Wednesday.
Rabina, a trainee teacher who lives in Ifield Road, said: "It cost us about £400 when we bought it eight years ago so I doubt it's worth anything now.
"It must have taken them ages to dismantle it and take it away but the tenants were all out at work. They just thought I'd taken it away."
Police believe the thieves must have jumped the fence, taken the shed apart and carried it away.
A spokesman said: "Always at this time of year we see a spate of shed burglaries but they are usually stealing what's inside the shed."
Witnesses should call 0845 6070999.
