Jenny Langston's comments (Opinion, May 21) regarding the visit by John Prescott to Hove recently are very different to what I witnessed.

I did not see any bouncers or bodyguards surround Mr Prescott while he was continually being heckled by Mrs Langston and others.

Indeed, at one stage, a threatening and angry gentleman got very close to Mr Prescott without anyone trying to stop him.

It was not until Mr Prescott had finished his presentation that I noticed any police move to protect him.

At no time was Mr Prescott aggressive or bullying, although his humourous put-downs of hecklers, including Mrs Langston, were both amusing and effective.
