Seaford are the nearly men of Sussex One. Saturday's 9-8 reverse at home to Uckfield was the fourth time they had lost a league game by a single point.
They have also drawn once, making nine points which have got away.
Seaford's Paul Joy admitted: "We have shown we have compete but we have real problems scoring points."
UC Chichester were the first to get out of jail at The Salts when they edged in 6-5, despite losing the try count.
The game ended in controversy with Seaford adamant they should have been given the points after the students ran out of front row forwards.
Two months ago Horsham won 13-12 at Seaford, and a month later, Seaford went to Royal & Sun Alliance and were edged out 14-13.
Then, three weeks ago, Joy and his colleagues ended their losing run by drawing 17-17 at Hellingly.
Throw in four points deducted for fielding an unregistered player and you get a pretty frustrating season for the men from The Salts.
That makes 13 points they could have had.
