So the Labour Party will not consider postponing any forthcoming elections because to do so will send the wrong signals to other countries.

Is this the modern version of "what will the neighbours say?" If the Government fails to do what is right for the people who live and work in this country for fear of what judgement may be passed abroad, it is not doing the job it was elected to do.

Any national government's prime job is to place the needs and wishes of the people who elected it above all other considerations.

It doesn't matter what "the neighbours" say because it does not concern them.
