On behalf of the executive committee of Brighton Cares, I would like to say a very big thank you to the Theatre Royal and the Ambassador Group.
Brighton Cares has received a cheque for £7,340 as its share of the proceeds of the Adult Cinderella, which took place at the Royal in January.
Thanks must also go to Julian Clary and the company, stage crew and front-of-house staff for all giving their time and talent free of charge.
I can only stress that, for our charity to raise £7,000, we would have to spend in the region of £15,000 to stage a show without, of course, any guarantee we would make a penny.
So you can see how important these events are. All the charity nights the Theatre Royal, Club Revenge and other businesses do for us are very much appreciated too.
-Tony Smart, chairman, Brighton Cares
