Crawley Town boss Billy Smith was angry as his side slumped 2-0 at Worcester City in the premier division.

Town came away with nothing from Worcester City on Saturday after a woeful performance.

Worcester were depleted by injury and had lost three of their last four games.

Smith said: "We lost our way after starting brightly in the first quarter of an hour. Some of the players were not pulling their weight.

"I was particularly disappointed with some of the more experienced players who let us down and supporters have every right to get on their backs."

Reds started well with Captain Luke Anderson heading over the bar on two minutes. Worcester took the lead when Carl Heeley headed home a corner after 35 minutes.

Reds' frustration grew in the second half, with Mark Hawthorne, Ian Payne and Danny Carroll booked. A mistake from Nigel Brake allowed Worcester to wrap up the points on 70 minutes as his misplaced pass fell to Wyatt.

A superb second-half performance saw Hastings Town romp to a 4-2 eastern division win at high-flying Tonbridge Angels.

Hastings were 2-1 down at the interval but goals from Danny Simmonds, Duncan McArthur and Paul Jones sent the Angels tumbling to their first home league defeat of the season.

Town assistant manager Terry White said: "We have been playing like that for a few weeks but we have set the standard and now we have got to maintain it."

Hastings got off to a flying start when Steve Yates stabbed home from Jones' low cross after only three minutes. But two defensive mistakes saw Tonbridge score twice in quick succession through Simon Elliott and Wade Falana.

The visitors levelled on the hour through Simmonds' well-placed header from a Yates cross and five minutes later McArthur scored with a deflected free-kick.

Hastings made sure of victory when Jones claimed the goal his impressive performance deserved with a simple tap in. Tonbridge were reduced to ten men late on when Gene Clout was sent off for a reckless lunge on Yates just seconds after coming on as a substitute.
