I run a business in Church Road, Hove, and lately my staff and I are receiving more and more parking tickets due to inadequate local parking facilities.

The situation has got so bad that two of my staff have left and we are now looking to relocate due to this increasing problem.

We drive round and round the area surrounding Church Road day after day trying to nip into places left by residents as they go off to work. I accept that we risk tickets by parking on double yellows but what else can we do?

As if it is not bad enough the local council will soon implement a one way scheme and residents parking only. Is the council trying to drive local business out altogether?

I for one will be glad to leave Hove and save myself about £200 per month in fines. My staff who left due to this severe problem are less lucky. They left jobs they enjoyed and will not return to Hove to work.

I am trying to run a business, not dodge traffic wardens all day, but I do need to load, unload my car daily with samples etc.

With the state of Hove's roads and parking facilities, traffic wardens' wages could be well used elsewhere.
