A school for pupils with learning difficulties is celebrating outstanding results after its Ofsted inspection report.
Downs Park School, in Portslade, which is a specialist centre for autism, has received high praise for its excellent teaching, pupil achievement and leadership.
In a recently-published report, leadership was described as "exceptional" and management "very good", with senior managers described as "industrious and talented in their pursuit of excellence in provision".
Head teacher Andrew Jedras said: "This report reflects the exceptional quality which exists at Downs Park School.
"The school caters for pupils with more complex needs, so the report acknowledged the high level of understanding."
