An inquest will hear how a 93-year-old man died after being run down by a refuse collection lorry.
Frank Herbert was walking just yards from his home in Chestnut Walk, Little Common, near Bexhill, on August 10, when he was hit by the lorry while it was reversing in the street.
Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene but the man died instantly.
The driver of the refuse lorry, who was working alone, is expected to give evidence at an inquest into the death at Hastings Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
The dustcart was one of a fleet belonging to contractor Serco which deals with rubbish disposal in the area on behalf of Rother District Council.
Findings of an investigation compiled by a team from Serco and police will also be presented.
The hearing starts at 3pm.
