A man suffered a broken arm when he was knocked unconscious during an attempted robbery in Brighton.
The attack happened outside a bathroom shop in Preston Road, at 1am on Sunday.
The offender fled as members of the public came to the victim's aid. He was taken by ambulance to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton. Polcie said his injuries were not life-threatening.
The atacker is black, 6ft, and wore a Nike top. Polcie said his clothes would have been blood stained.
