After I and many of my neighbours have yet again been the victims of the mindless vandals who have smashed countless car windows in our area, I have now lost faith in our police force.
The latest attacks came at 3.30am. Two of my neighbours called the police while the attacks were taking place, giving them the registration numbers of all the vehicles damaged.
The police did attend nearly an hour later, taking note of the considerable damage done.
It was left to one of my friends to inform me at 7am my vehicle had been left with a large dent and a shattered window.
Did the police not think to inform us at the time so we could secure our vehicles?
A call to the police station that morning resulted in one message being left on my answerphone 12-and-a-half hours after the incident occurred.
