There have been a few reports of people riding motorised scooters being required to have tax, insurance and licence plates and also being charged with being drunk in charge of such vehicles.
I have tried, unsuccessfully, to find out if the recent cases which you reported concerned only the petrol-engined scooters or whether the law now extends to electric ones.
I don't even know if it is applicable to the four-wheeled buggies that disabled people use.
Do any readers know? Obviously I do not drink and drive, nor do I drive furiously, but I do need my little scooter.
